Engineering served as the design engineers for the South Jersey Transportation
Authority's first new full interchange since opening in the 1960's.
The
design provided for:
- signalized entrance and exit ramps for Philadelphia and Atlantic City
bound traffic.

Easy Pass Toll collection facilities
for Philadelphia bound traffic.
- Bridge expansion to provide left turn lanes in addition to a through traffic lane
across the bridge.

Extensive landscape buffers to minimize impact on adjacent property owners.
- Relocated local roadways to provide continued access to adjacent properties.
- The saving of a 150+ year old Oak Tree.
Design and permitting of this $5M fast track project was completed in 7 months, bids were received in June 1999.
