Chris Perks, president of Perks Reutter Associates, has been with the firm since 1984. During that time he has designed and managed a wide variety of civil engineering projects including; wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal systems, industrial parks, commercial and urban site developments, streets, roads and highway improvements, large scale land surveys, building renovations, and technology initiatives. His experience includes clients at the local, county, state, and federal levels of government, as well as nonprofit foundations, and the private sector. Chris serves as the consulting engineer to several utility authorities and municipalities. |

He participated in the firm’s condition assessment of 257 schools for the School District of Philadelphia, the renovation of 52 branches for the Free Library of Philadelphia, and the renovation of the historically certified Fairmount Water Works. He was the owner’s representative for the construction of Campbell’s Field baseball stadium in Camden, New Jersey. As a structural engineer, he has performed stress analysis and steel design. As an environmental engineer, Chris has directed numerous site assessments and remediation programs, prepared applications and compliance programs for NJPDES, ECRA, Pinelands, CAFRA, Corps of Engineers and other permits, and has planned and performed oversight on asbestos and leaking underground storage tank removal projects. Chris was the president of the Mid Atlantic Chapter of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association, and teaches their Introduction to GIS seminar. He is active in public policy as the Chairman of the Southern New Jersey Development Council, also heading their legislative committee. Chris serves on the New Jersey State Geographic Information Council, and the Philadelphia Board of Building Standards. He also serves on the boards of Philadelphia Hospitality and the Volunteers of America Delaware Valley. He and his wife reside in Camden, NJ. He is a licensed professional engineer in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and Ohio. He is a licensed professional planner in New Jersey, a Certified Municipal Engineer, and is certified for underground storage tank removal. Chris has a BA in English Literature from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and a BS in Civil Engineering from United States International University in San Diego, California. |
